Austin Osman Spare
| Austin Osman Spare was a British mind controlled occultist and artist, a member of Aleister Crowley's Argenteum Astrum with Victor Neuburg. He was influenced by Aubrey Beardsley (aesthetic movement with Oscar Wilde). He was a friend of Sylvia Plankhurst (sufragette movement, HG Wells Society with Gerald Heard). In 1905 he published Earth Inferno (symbolism of Dante and Helena Blavatsky). His use of sigils influenced the Chaos Magic of Thee Temple ov Psychic Youth (Genesis P-Orridge). |  |
One of his patrons was homosexual John Gray (Foreign Office, friend of Oscar Wilde).
He developed the concept of Kia, similar to the Tao in Taoism. He published Form with contributions of JFC Fuller (Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists), Robert Grave (gay agenda), Havelock Ellis (transgender and eugenics agenda, Fabian Society). He made a portrait of AC Doyle and was a friend of Kenneth Grant (OTO).
Grant founded the New Isis Lodge, mixed Crowley's Thelema with mythology of extraterrestials and the works of HP Lovecraft (imagination and image-making faculty as most important in magic, used in the Hollywood programming of subconscious).
Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin, also bought Crowley's house in Boleskine) bought his self portrait.
