The Goldsmith or Goldschmidt is a jewish German elite family of bankers of Frankfurt am Main, related to the House of Rothschild, Bisschoffsheim and Bartolome. Abraham Goldschmid played a role in the French Revolution. The Bisschoffsheim-Goldschmitt bank turned into Banque de Crédit et de Dépot des Pays-Bas and BNP Paribas. Adolphe Goldsmidt had interests in Central Mining Investment Corp and De Beers (mining industry in South Africa). Benjamin Disraeli, pm of the UK from 1874 to 1880, was related through the Goldsmids through his mother.

Frank Goldsmith was a British politician and member of the Jewish Board of Guardians and Légion d'Honneur.

Marie Goldsmith worked with Russian anarchist Peter Kropotkin.

James Goldsmith was a member of the Committee for the Free World (with jesuit Ed Feulner of The Heritage Foundation and Ray Cline of WACL) and the Clermont Set (with Ian Fleming, Lucian Freud, Anthony Cavendish of Le Cercle and Gianni Agnelli). He was elected in France as member of the European Parliament and died a month before Diana, related to the Goldsmiths.

Jemima Goldsmith married Imrahn Khan, pm of Pakistan. She was a friend of Diana Spencer.

Jemima Goldsmith launched his career as controlled opposition anti-establishment activist as editor of the New Statesman of the Fabian Society (jesuit Massimo family). She also promoted Julian Assange.

Aline Goldsmith married Robert Crumb (Haight-Ashbury counter culture, publisher of Symbionese Liberation Army of Patty Hearst media ritual).

Harvey Goldsmith helped organising the Live Aid concert in Wembley Stadium with Queen (Freddie Mercury), Spandau Ballet, Sade, Sting, U2, Elton John, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, The Who, Elvis Costello, Jack Nicholson and produced the live performance of Pink Floyd's The Wall in Berlin.

Vincent Bolloré, related to Nicole von Goldsmith through mother Monique Follot, is the main owner of Universal Music Group, a friend of Nicolas Sarkozy and worked for Rothschild. His son Yannick Boloré is chairman of Havas and member of Le Siècle and WEF.
