Hermann Hesse

Hermann Hesse was a German- Swiss poet and propaganda writer. He was educated at Evangelical Theological Seminary like Johannes Kepler and Friedrich Hölderlin. Like the circle of Stefan George, he was influenced by Friedrich Nietzsche and by Hölderlin and Novalis (Romanticism). His novel Peter Camenzind was promoted by Sigmund Freud. He married Maria Bernouilli (mental disorder, family of mathematicians). He was affiliated with the Theosophical Society. He visited the OTO lodge at Monte Verità, an utopian community near Ascona with Carl Jung, Annie Besant, Jidda Krishnamurti, Rudolf Steiner of Theosophical Society, Frederick van Eeden, Peter Kropotkin, Dada artist Hugo Ball, Isadora Duncan, Freudian Otto Gross, Paul Klee,  ..Monte Verità was also used as a destination for the Wandervogel youth groups of Germany (Hans Blüher, Greek pedophilia religion).

Hugo Ball wrote his biography.

He was treated by psychoanalist Josef Lang, a disciple of Carl Jung. Demian had references to gnosticism (Abraxas the Demiurg). Thomas Mann wrote its introduction.

He pushed the gay agenda as activist against Paragraph 175, with Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann, Zionist Martin Buber and Magnus Hirschfeld.

His third wife was jewish. He was a friend of Walter Benjamin.

His friend Theodor Heuss signed the Enabling Act that gave Hitler dictatorial powers.

In may (period of fire sacrifice to Baal) 1933 Joseph Goebbels organized a publicity stunt of burning books of jewish intellectuals like Hesse , Albert Einstein, Heinrich and Thomas Mann, Walter Rathenau, HG Wells, George Grosz, Walter Benjamin, Felix Mendelssohn, Magnus Hirschfeld, Franz Boas, Ernst Bloch, Sigmund Freud, Upton Sinclair, Victor Hugo, Ernest Hemingway, Karl Marx, Robert Musil,..

He published in Horizon magazine of MI6 agent Stephen Spender with contributions of Bertrand Russell, George Orwell, JP Sartre, HG Wells (Fabian Society), Graham Greene, JFC Fuller (British Union of Fascists, follower of Crowley), André Gide, Ian Fleming (James Bond), Paul Klee (Bauhaus), Arthur KoestlerAldous Huxley, Louis Aragon (surrealist magazine with André Breton), Nancy Mitford, Roy Fuller (BBC),...

In 1946 he was awarded the Goethe Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature. He was a friend of Freudian and Nobel Prize winner Romain Rolland (International Congress of Progressive Artists, teacher at the Grand Lycée of the jesuits).

In 1949 Theodor Heuss (Frankfurter Zeitung, Goebbels' Das Reich) became first president of West Germany.

Composer Richard Strauss (Nietzsche's Also Sprach Zarathustra) composed music to his poems.

The Monte Verità scene was a blueprint for the CIA controlled hippie culture with Colin Wilson and Timothy Leary who revived the interest in Hesse (Magic Theatre in San Francisco with Ed Harris, Cheech Marin, Sean Penn and Peter Coyote, is a reference to Steppenwolf). Richard Alpert's Be Here Now contains a reference to the Magic Theatre. Steppenwolf's Born to Be Wild (first heavy metal song) was used in Easy Rider with Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson. The album Abraxas of Santana (Woodstock) contained a Demian quote.

Zbigniew Brzezinski (Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller) quotes Hesse in Between Two Ages.

Gary Sinise founded the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.
