Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock was an artist used in the Greenwich Village art scene by the CIA (American Committee for Cultural Freedom, as US branch of the Congress for Cultural Freedom in Berlin with marxist Sidney Hook as central figure) for the program Modernism with Willem de Kooning, Lee Krasner,... He was promoted by Lee Greenberg (Phi Beta Kappa, also ACCF, NY Intellectuals, Partisan Review, The Nation), Harold Rosenberg and Life magazine and had Peggy Guggenheim as patron (married to Max Ernst).

He was educated at Art Students League of New York (Dada member George Grosz, Max Weber, Clement Greenberg, Dominican trained Georgia O'Keeffe, Mark Rothko, Frank Stella).

He married Lee Krasner (Ukrainian, jewish). He was addicted to alcohol.

He had an affair with Ruth Kligman who studied at NYU and The New School. She was a friend of Willem de Kooning, Robert Mapplethorpe and Andy Warhol.

Like de Kooning and his wife, he was programmed with alcohol addiction.

He died in a car crash in 1956, a year after the car crash of James Dean.

In 2000 Sony produced Pollock with Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly as Ruth Kligman, Marcia Gay Harden, Val Kilmer and Stephanie Seymour (music video of Guns 'n' Roses).
