Robert Gates
Robert Gates was a jesuit trained US Secretary of Defense from 2006 to 2011 under George W Bush and Barack Obama and director of the CIA. He was a member of Order of the Arrow (Boy Scouts of America). He was president of Texas A&M University. He was educated at Indiana University, College of William and Mary and jesuit school Georgetown. In 1966 he joined the CIA and in 1974 he worked for the National Security Council. He was involved in the Iran-contra affair. He is a member of the CFR and Atlantic Council. |
