The Rosenberg family is an elite family of German-Hungarian Ashkenazi jewish Rosicrucian protestants, a branch of the Witgonen family. The Rosenbergs supported John Dee and the rosicrucian wedding of Bohemian king Frederick V Brunswick-Luneberg and Elizabeth Stewart, to lead the protestants in the Thirty Years' War. - Wilhelm Rosenberg (Order of the Golden Fleece) was a diplomat and alchemist, worked with Rudolf II and Anselmus de Boodt and with John Dee and Edward Kelley, when they visited Bohemia.
He married Sophie of Brandenburg, the daughter of Joachim II (Hohenzollern) and Hedwig (daughter of Sigismund of Poland, also Order of the Golden Fleece, with Bona Sforza as 2nd wife).
His brother Peter Wok von Rosenberg passed his possessions to the Schwanbergs.

- Leon Bakst Rosenberg was the teacher of Kyrill Vladimirovich Romanov and later of Marc Chagall (married to Bella Rosenfeld).
