Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking was a British theoretical physicist and professor at University of Cambridge, used as media actor in the media industry and in the Science Church, to popularize the concept of 'black holes' (based on Theory of Relativity), to push atheism and to play the archetype of hawk headed Horus. He was educated at University College Oxford. He worked with Dennis Sciama (Royal Society), Kip Thorne, Leonard Mlodinow (antagonist of Deepak Chopra) and Roger Penrose (also Cambridge). He wrote his thesis on the singularity theorem.

He wrote The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time with George Ellis (Royal Society).

In 1974 he introduced the concept of Hawking radiation. He taught at Caltech (Jack Parsons). He suffered from ALS disease.

In 1988 he wrote A Brief History of Time (with an introduction by Carl Sagan). He promoted Queen Elizabeth II and met with Barack Obama in 2009.

In 2001 he wrote The Universe in a Nutshell.

Benedict Cumberbatch played Hawking in BBC movie Hawking (2004).

Errol Morris (jewish, MacArthur Fellowship, American Dharma with jesuit Steve Bannon) made a film version of Brief History of Time, produced by Steven Spielberg.

He participated in debates with Peter Higgs. He worked on Curiosity of the Discovery Channel. He was a guest on Star Talk of Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Eddie Redmayne played Hawking in The Theory of Everything (2014) with Felicity Jones, Emily Watson, Enzo Cilenti as Kip Thorne. It was produced by Tim Bevan, married to the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave.

His daughter worked for The Times and The Guardian.

In 2015 he announced the Breakthrough Listen project with Israeli billionaire Yuri Milner (World Bank, investor in Facebook, 23 and Me, awarded Hawking with a Breakhthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics),  Martin Rees (president of the Royal Society) and Ann Druyan, wife of Carl Sagan (novel Contact). It uses the Robert Byrd Green Bank Telescope in Virginia supposedly to listen for 'alien' communication. It was named after Oddfellow and senator Robert Byrd, one of the main characters in Cathy O'Brien's narrative. The telescope, funded by NSF, was used in the Oumaouma media ritual in 2017 with Avi Loeb.

He hosted Genius by Stephen Hawking on PBS. He appeared in CBS Show The Big Bang Theory.
