Syria

Syria is an Islamic country, established as a kingdom in 1920. It has a population of 17 million people. It is governed by the Jesuits. Its most populous city and capital is Damascus (33d parallel). It was ruled by the Ottoman Empire.

It is a member of the United Nations. Its population consists of Sunni muslims, Kurds, Alawites, Druzes and Ismaeli's. Its GDP is 134th largest of the world.

1875 the jesuits found the St Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon.

1920 king Faisal I.

1923 French mandate of Syria and Lebanon (backed by League of Nations). founding of Damascus University.

1926 freemason Ahmad Nami as president.

1930 Syrian republic. Abdulfattah al-Jandall (father of Steve Jobs) grows up in Homs.

1947 Michel Aflaq (Fabian Society) founds the socialist Baath party with Salah al-Din al-Bitar (educated at Sorbonne).

1948 Arab-Israeli War.

1949 Syrian coup d'etat, backed by CIA (Miles Copeland).

1958 United Arab Republic with Egypt. University of Aleppo.

1963 Syrian coup d'etat.

1970 Corrective Revolution.

1971 Hafez al-Assad as dictator.

1976 military occupation of Lebanon.

1999 Abu Musab al-Zarkawi (Al Quaeda of Osama Bin Laden) founds Islamic State (IS or Isis, Egyptian goddess associated with Sirius).

2000 Bashar al-Assad as president.

2011 death of Hamzi Ali, suppression of Arab Spring protests, start of Syrian civil war (Syrian army, Salafi Jihadists of Al-Nusra Front, Ahrar al-Sham, Syrian Islamic Front).

2013 jesuit Paolo Dall'Oglio is 'kidnapped'.

2014 the Isis-ritual. Syrian refugees migrating to Germany, designed by Angela Merkel (the Multiculti Church), UN and International Crisis Group with Mark Malloch Brown (Open Society Foundations, WEF, World Bank).

2014 death of jesuit Frans van der Lugt (leading to reaction of pope Francis).
