Wassily Kandinsky

Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian artist and Theosophist, used in the art scene for program Modernism during the Bolshevik communist regime.  Modernism was aimed at a further breakdown of society and moral degradation (start of pop culture). He was the uncle of Hegelian Alexandre Kojève (influence on Georges Bataille and Jacques Lacan). He was educated at the University of Moscow. He worked under Anatoly Lunacharsky (in contact with Theosophist Nicholas Roerich, Fabians HG Wells and GB Shaw). He published in Der Sturm of Georg Lewin (married to Else Lasker-Schüler of Monte Verità) with Karl Kraus, Franz Jung, Lothar Schreyer, Oskar Kokoshka,..

He taught at the Bauhaus (modernist architecture, worship of the Saturnian black box, in alliance with the Russian supremacists) with Walter Gropius, Mies Van der Rohe, Lothar Schreyer and Paul Klee (Monte Verita).

He participated in the International Congress for Progressive Artists with Else Lasker-Schüler, Romain Rolland, El Lissitzky, Oskar Kokoschka.  He was influenced by Annie Besant's book Thought-Forms.

He was a member of the Blue Rose art group (rosicrucianism) and Der Blaue Reiter (Monte Verita resident Marianne von Werefkin, Jean Arp, Franz Marc, Alexej von Jawlensky, Kazimir Malevich, Dimitrije Mitrinovic). He published an almanac with Alexander Scriabin and Arnold Schoenberg.

In 1920 Lunacharsky appointed him director of the Institute of Artistic Culture.

In 1933 Adolf Hitler's nazi party (Alfred Rosenberg,  controlled opposition against modernism) closed the Bauhaus.

In 1937 his work was used in the Entartete Kunst exhibition in Munich with works of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Beckmann, Erich Haeckel, Emil Nolde, Marc Chagall, Max Ernst, George Grosz, Piet Mondrian, Franz Marc, Raoul Hausmann, Paul Klee, Oskar Kokoshka, Rudolf Bauer, James Ensor, Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso,...

His works were promoted by Peggy Guggenheim in London and collected by Solomon Guggenheim (married to Irene Rothschild, Solomon Guggenheim Museum). Alfred Barr promoted the Bauhaus at the Modern Museum of Art (Siegfried Kracauer) in NY.

Dimitrije Mitrinovic (Der Blaue Reiter with Klee and Kandinsky, The New Age of Fabian Society) worked with Alan Watts (CIA front Esalen).
